About us
At Powerhaus Energy we aim to make the energy transition fairer, clearer and more beneficial for the customers and communities we serves. In the short term, this means helping customers reduce energy costs and make confident, informed decisions. In the long term, the goal is to build shared community owned virtual power plants that reinvest energy proceeds back into local communities.
Who we are
Powerhaus Energy was founded by Paul and Jacob, local energy professionals frustrated with an industry that often prioritises high margins over quality outcomes.
Jacob is an accredited solar installer and commercial electrician with over 30 years experience in South Australia. Paul is an energy and procurment analyst with an aviation and local government supply chain background.
After years working within residential and commercial energy systems, Paul and Jacob saw how complexity, poor advice and unclear pricing were preventing households from fully participating in the clean energy transition.
Powerhaus Energy was created to address this gap by placing trust, education and community benefit at the centre of how energy is delivered.
We live and play in the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu and Metro areas and are genuinely committed to improving outcomes for our environment and our customers.

Powerhaus does not lead with sales or one size fits all solutions. Our difference lies in long term thinking, designing systems around how people actually live, supporting customers well beyond installation, and structuring energy projects so benefits remain within communities rather than being extracted for profit.

At Powerhaus Energy, we are rooted in place — working in real communities, across real landscapes, for real families and small businesses. We don’t chase trends or overstate our mission. We focus on doing what we say, consistently and honestly, with long-term thinking behind every decision.

We believe the energy transition is already underway. Our role is to support it in a practical, steady way — through education, thoughtful system design, and solutions that genuinely work. For us, progress isn’t hype. It’s measured in systems installed, households empowered, bills reduced, and communities strengthened.
Community-Led
Community sits at the centre of everything we do. We’re building Powerhaus toward shared, community-owned energy solutions — including models like virtual power plants that keep value local. We prioritise partnerships, referrals, and shared outcomes over transactional relationships, because that’s how lasting impact is created.
What we offer
At Powerhaus Energy we provide end to end electrification services, from education and system design through to installation, optimisation and a three-tier aftercare subscription service designed to give customers choice around continued support and education.
In addition to individual systems, we are building the foundations for shared energy services through community based virtual power plants.
